CT Scan

The GE LightSpeed Computer Tomography (CT) scanner, located on-site at our Cancer Center, uses an advanced multi-slice technology to deliver faster scanning and higher-quality imagery.

How it works

The CT scanner creates multiple slices of cross-sectional images of the bones and soft tissues of your body. These can then be computer-enhanced to give your radiation oncology team the sharp and clear 3D views they need from many different angles.

3D imagery allows us to more accurately pinpoint the location of the tumor and serves as a guide in planning your radiation therapy, as well as planning a biopsy or surgery.
